bad news for the food blog…
i’m going to try to lose a few pounds this summer cuz i realized that i’m about 10 pounds too heavy for the asian BMI standard. (actually i’m just on the border of normal/overweight for the WHO non-asian standard.) the week i was immobilized in bed after surgery really weaned me off the taste for fun restaurant food (despite getting sushi delivered to my bed twice), PLUS i’m working at a non-profit where our clients don’t pay this summer so i’m pretty poor, people cook for me at home, and i need to save money for school. oh, and it’s still pretty hard for me to get around (and consequently go to restaurants.) so that should save me a bunch of calories every week.
don’t worry though, when the mister comes to visit he usually insists on going out, so i’ll still be posting. but the food that gets made in my parents’ kitchen is usually too unsightly/boring/not-tasty to be documented.
i might post more about workouts/fitness and nutrition though because i started following some people who are losing a bunch of weight — reading about other people’s weight loss keeps me more motivated. obviously my training schedule is kinda weaksauce right now though since it’s only been a little under 3 weeks since surgery. just doing a half hour or so of weight training using a pair of 15-lb dumbbells every other day. and planks every damn day, booo.
last night i went to the scooper bowl to pig out. i was too busy eating like 8 scoops of ice cream to take pictures of the actual food. bad food blogger.
