it’s been one of those days.. i really wore myself out yesterday - primarily with swimming for 35 minutes, biking 7 miles, and walking around in bad shoes for 5. so i spent the whole day in recovery today: eating (TWO pastries!), sleeping half the afternoon away - i literally slept from 2:30pm to 5pm - and being a slug.
1. i had 2 dinners last night - the rest of my primo hoagie (previous post) and smoked salmon salad from tria. the salad, which they reformulated after customer feedback, is still on the salty side, but actually quite good - if you like capers.
2. my cream cheese brownie from metropolitan bakery. this was a little too heavy on the sugar and not enough with the flour.
3. dinner tonight!!! i’ve probably snacked on a quarter of the 64oz jar of kimchi already. but it’s such an easy guilt free snack/source of vegetables: 10 calories per ounce. the whole jar is only 640 ounces! i actually cooked the brown rice in a rice cooker and just added chicken boullion powder. i used to hate brown rice but now that i understand the power of chicken boullion i may never go back to white rice. yum!
